Kenosis is for Christians who desire to deepen their biblical foundations, grow in their life with God, and develop a life of service and proclamation of the Gospel. It is especially intended for those who desire to prepare themselves to serve in different ministry and mission contexts.

What will I learn at Kenosis?

The training is organized into four main areas:Spirituality and Virtues: development of life with God, character, and personal formation.Biblical Theology: understanding of the Scriptures and the foundations of the Christian faith.Theology of Mission: understanding of God’s mission and the vocation of the Church in the world.History of the Church and Mission: knowledge of the journey of the Church and the missionary movement throughout history.

Who are the teachers?

The training is led by missionaries, pastors, and leaders who serve in different areas of ministry. Some are part of the Shores of Grace team, while others are friends and partners of the mission.Therefore, in addition to the in-person classes, some specific classes take place online, allowing students to learn directly from people who are serving in the mission field and in different areas of ministry.

Do I need missionary experience or theological training to participate?

Accepted Answer

No. Kenosis does not require previous missionary experience or theological training. The most important thing is to be willing to learn, live in community, and engage practically with what will be taught.

How long does the school last?

Kenosis lasts two and a half months, with a routine that integrates teaching, community life, discipleship, and participation in the mission of Shores of Grace.

Do I need to be part of a church to participate?

Yes. To participate in Kenosis, you must be connected to a local church and be under the guidance of a pastor or leader who knows you and accompanies you in your journey.
